Located in Marennes, along the channel of Cayenne, the City of the Oyster opens the doors of the oyster world and takes the visitor to the heart of a profession, a territory and an exceptional natural environment.

At the reception station, we board a shuttle bus in season (free), on foot or by bike (included in the ticket) to the heart of the City: the interpretation center where we discover the secrets of oyster farmers, the history of oyster farming, the evolution of the activity and many anecdotes.

The visit continues to the Cabane des Claires, an area of oyster farming with thematic workshops, educational and fun activities.

Extend your visit with a tasting at the restaurant La Claire with its terrace overlooking the marsh of claires for a gourmet break.
