Mornac sur Seudre
Bordered by the salt marshes, at the bottom of the estuary formed by the Seudre, Mornac sur Seudre is ranked among the most beautiful villages in France. Former medieval stronghold and charming fishing port, Mornac sur Seudre offers visitors its narrow streets with whitewashed houses, its craftsmen faithful to traditions saintongeaises.
While strolling, you will discover the halls of the 14th century and the fortified church in the shape of a Latin cross, from the 12th century. From the center of the village, all these small streets lead you to the port where there is a very lively atmosphere, between traditional boats, old rigs and sailboats.
The moored boats are waiting for you for a beautiful ride on the Seudre, to the salt marshes, now become oyster farms.
